Still Under Warranty Quartet

L-R: David Buttars (tenor), Mac Dallman (bari), Glen Ellison (bass), John Coutts (lead)Formed in 1997, after the Port Hope Chapter "folded", from three former Pine Ridgers plus one Peterborough Ace of Harmony, they took 13th place in the 1998 Ontario District Fall Convention Quartet Semi-Finals (ref Lyle's MegaWeb). They continued beyond the 1999 merger of the defunct Port Hope Chapter with the Peterborough Chapter until the early 2000's having a very busy time in 2001 with 22 performances in the Peterborough and Cobourg areas. Buttars was a charter member of the Port Hope Chapter, served on its executive and sang with the Town & Country Squires for 11 years.

Dallman started with the Peterborough Chapter in 1971 becoming Music Director for the Pine Ridge Chorus for 18 years from 1978 and served as Ontario District President 1997-98. In the '80s, he quarteted with The Good Tymes Penny Arcade.

Ellison also started with the Peterborough Liftlock City Chorus (now Aces of Harmony) in 1981 where he was joined by the other members of the quartet from the Port Hope Chapter.

Coutts was the late starter, joining the Port Hope Chapter in 1988. Through the early '90s, his first quartet was The Ganaraska Rascals (also written "Raskles").

Still Under Warranty was a "registered quartet" with the Barbershop Harmony Society.
