We are the Ganaraska Chordsmen Chorus,
AKA "The Ganaraskals!"
Who? Men of all ages from Port Hope, Cobourg, Northumberland County and beyond.
A Barbershop Harmony Society chorus singing from memory and without accompaniment (a cappella).
Meeting at St. John's Parish Hall, 33 Pine St N, Port Hope, ON L1A 3G5. (Until Dec 14, 2021temporarily at 43 Mill St. S., Port Hope next to the paint store)
During the pandemic, we continue to meet on Zoom and, as of 2021, we are simultaneously making harmony together live online using Jamulus.
Most Tuesdays, 7PM-9:30PM, year-round. 7PM-8:45PM on Zoom and Jamulus with check-in/out 15 minutes on each side.
We love to sing and entertain.
Led by an inspiring chorus director, we learn words and music with the aid of take-home sheet music and audio recordings. No previous music training is necessary, as long as you can carry a tune, in tune.
The Barbershop Harmony Society brings men together in harmony and fellowship to enrich lives through singing.
To be the premier membership organization for men who love to sing.
